On May 29, 2011 at 12:21pm, James came into the world at 7 pounds 6 ounces and was 19.5 inches long.
He hasn't stopped eating since!

Getting ready for the NBA?
James went with Mommy, Xiao Ye, Lao Lao, Kurt, Presley, JoJo and Auntie Jodie to the Rain Forest Cafe in San Francisco. We took the ferry there.
It took a while for James to get comfortable there. He was a bit scared of the giant elephants moving and making all sorts of noise that were right by us.
The Kennedy Clan spent the last day of 2013 at Kennedy Park. James was excited to ride the train.

James LOVES his Halloween costume this year. He wants to wear it all the time and even wears it to sleep sometimes. He wanted to wear it to at the pumpkin patch.
James loves jumping. He's getting braver and braver jumping off higher things.

We went to our park, you know, Kennedy Park and met up with Auntie Steph, Auntie Silvana, Marcus, Micah, Lola, and Santiago. James loved saying Lola's name. The other names were a little hard to pronounce for him.
James was excited, yet nervous to ride the train.

Happy Father's Day!
For Father's Day, James brought Daddy downstairs to have breakfast. James called him and took his hand and lead Daddy downstairs. After breakfast, James was really excited to give Baba his gift, a funny Dad shirt and another shirt that matched one Jame and Luke have.
In the evening, we went to Uncle Lawrence's house to celebrate with his family.
May 2013
James went to his new friend Cash's 2nd birthday party at Jungle Island. He loved playing in the balls with Daddy and Cash.

To celebrate Mommy and James' birthday, Auntie Pam, Uncle Allen, and Katelyn joined us at Happy Hallow.
Both kids loved the merry-go-round; they rode it three times.
James and Katelyn held hands as they were walking around the zoo.
James and Katelyn liked feeding the goats by throwing food at them. Neither wanted to get too close to them.
Not surprising that James looks the happiest when it was time to eat.
It's hard to get three little kids to look at the camera for a picture!
April 2013
Luke went to Katelyn's 2nd Birthday party. He had so much fun playing with her toys, he didn't want to leave when it was time to go home.
James went to his first dental appointment. He liked playing with the train set in the waiting room.
He and Mommy got to color too.
You can see how he felt about the exam.
He didn't like getting his teeth polished either.
After the exam, James was happy again and started to play with his toys. He gave Dr. Law a high five and was happy to take a toy home with him.
The other great thing is that Dr. Law got James to floss on his own!
James saw his relatives from Southern California, Aunt Julie and Aunt Rose.
James had a blast hanging out with his relatives, especially his cousins Kurt and Presley.
James is a great big brother so far. He shows concern and tells us to pick up Luke if he hears Luke cry. He likes to help Mommy burp Luke by gently patting him on the back.

March was an amazing month for our family.
James welcomed his little brother Luke into the family on 3/22!
James has been an amazing big brother. One of our favorites is when Luke cries, James will take our hands and bring us to Luke and tell us to pick him up to soothe him.
Easter 2013! We celebrated Easter mass together at Holy Spirit Church.
Mommy and Daddy did a little Easter Egg hunt for James. Mommy stuffed the eggs with grapes and yogurt drops since James has had too many sweets lately. Nice work mommy!

And how can you not love a kid who says "hi" and "bye" to the people on a plane?!?!
James couldn't get the ball all the way up the alley, so he decided to improvise!
James' newest things: walking his dog everywhere and blowing bubbles. He laughs hysterically when he blows the bubbles and says, "Bu bos" for bubbles.
James had tons of fun playing with Katelyn. They enjoyed sharing food and toys and both loved playing with bubbles.
February, 2013
James seems to love saying words that start with the letter B: "ball", "bye bye", and "boa" (Mandarin for pick me up). He also likes pointing to dogs and saying, "Go!" (Mandarin for dog.)

James loved playing with Auntie Fran when she came to visit from New York.
The entire family had a cold, so we decided porridge would be a good dinner.
Mommy was so impressed with James eating it by himself with a spoon.
After a while, James and Daddy thought they'd try a faster method.

Mommy and Daddy thought James might like to help us carve a pumpkin this year.
Don't worry, the knife was meant for kids and was really dull.
Someone must have been drinking Baby Bear's porridge!
James didn't love wearing his costume. Mommy doesn't like to give James candy, but she gave him Skittles to encourage him to keep it on. It worked!
Auntie Michele came trick or treating with us too! James did not like the idea of taking other people's things. He did not want to take the candy they offered him. When Mommy took some for him and put it in his bucket, James would give it back to the people before we left.

On October 18, we went to Kurt's house to help celebrate his 3rd birthday. James sat all by himself at the kids' table. He loved Auntie Jodie's food!

James had a growth spurt and grew one inch in a month! He's now 31.5 inches tall. He still weighs around 24 pounds.
James visited Auntie Megan and met her two dogs. James was so happy! The dogs, well, I'm not so sure they were as thrilled. They were very nice to James though.
James met up with Aria at Lake Elizabeth.

"Hi Little Buddy!" James says to his friend Ryne who came to visit.
James had his first visit to the public library. He liked the puzzles there!
James made him self right at home in the library.
James visited his cousins Presley and Kurt. Presley told him to hop on and took him for a spin around the kitchen.
James and Mommy visited Sulphur Creek Nature Center, a wildlife education and rehabilitation facility. Some animals are not able to survive in the wild, so they live at the Nature Center.

Our little guy turned one this week and we celebrated like any proud family... with more family and friends than our house can really accommodate! He went on his first airplane ride. Four plane rides and no problems; what a stud!
